Come Celebrate the Art and Poetry of Dehejia Maat. Painter, Yoga Teacher, and Writer. Deep rooted original Earth woman who greets the dawn chanting while doing Surya Namaska. Dehejia Maats has graced many a stage from the Kennedy Center to Historic U street, rocking mics from Japan to Toronto. Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga teacher, she also runs children's Yoga classes in the DMV. She has released two books of poetry: Deep Rooted Soul Sista Poems, The Yes that Leads to Infinity and featured in The Poetry of Yoga volume I.

I had the honor and pleasure to be a part of WHUR world once again. Joe Gorham who is hosts “Spoken Word at Joe’s Place” every wednesday at midnight is a staple in our community and a good friend.
